Corin's 18 month check-up
I'm still out of town, so you'll have to wait another week for a BUNCH of pictures. I just wanted to let everyone know that Corin had his 18 month check-up the other day (even though he is now closer to 19 months). He weighed in at 27 pounds and is now 34" tall. So he is 90th percentile for height. Doc says that he is healthy and momma says that he is happy.

Abby's four months old!
No pictures right now since I'm a bit busy, but wanted to pass this along...
Abby had her four month check up yesterday. She weighs 13 pounds, 2 ounces and is 24 inches long. That puts her right at the 50th percentile for both. So she is perfectly average (size wise...she's obviously in the 100th percentile of cuteness). The doc said that she is perfectly healthy.

Play time
Above are some older pics we just got off another camera.
Not sure what is going on here.
Sorry, I have been out of town for a bit and have fallen behind.
Things have been going fairly well at home. Corin's head continues to fill with teeth, and he enjoys proving that is has them by biting down on anything that gets near his mouth. We also think that Abby is starting to teethe already. It is a little bit early (usually around four months and she is three), but she is a bit fussier and definitely chews on her pacifier rather than sucking on it.
Abby's nights are hit and miss. While I was gone Kristi said that she did a six hour block of sleep in the night, but three hours at a time is still the norm. And Corin continues to wake up at least once most nights and cry for a bit. Sometimes it is just a little and he gets himself back to sleep. Sometimes he wakes up all the way and is standing in his crib screaming, so then we have to comfort him. Not sure when she'll sleep all the way through and he will stop crying out, but we are ready for both to happen.
The past week weeks has really just been a lot of playing at home, playing at friends' houses and playing in Bloomington. No doctor's appointments lately (although we have a few coming up), so no real updates on that front.
Corin and Dmitri having CRAZY FUN!

Family Reunion
Uncle Dan
Aunt Sandy
Aunt Donna
Cousin Kennedy
Four generations of women.
One happy grandma.
Baby boy fish face.
Playing at the Splash Pad.
We have had a very exciting couple of weeks. Almost all of Kristi's mom's side of the family, along with Aunt Michelle and family, came to town for a visit. It was lots of fun having everyone together. Everyone got to see Corin again and got to meet Abby and Kennedy.
Corin and I have also gone with Aunt Faye and Dmitri to the Splash Pad a couple of times. It is a free water park where kids (and their parents) can run through different types of sprinkler fixtures. Corin has a great time splashing around and watching the bigger kids run and play.

Abby two months / Corin 15 months / Family Vacation
Lola, Dmitri and Abby.
Corin in his cowboy PJs.
Empty box...sometimes the best toy possible.
Wearing mommy's fuzzy socks (which make him look like a Muppet or fawn).
This boy LOVES his mower.
Family vacation!
For some reason it is much harder to stay on top of updating this blog with two children than it was when we only had one. So again, we are sorry for the delay and are trying to make up for it with lots of pics and video.
Abby had her two month check-up and measured 23" and weighed in at 9 pounds, 13.25 ounces. So she is growing nicely. Corin had his 15 month check-up and measured 31.5 inches (getting close to that yardstick), and weighed 26 pounds, 4.25 ounces.
Abby is progressing very well. Things seem to be happening fairly quickly for her compared to Corin, but that may be fuzzy memory in addition to his premature status. She holds her head up well and tracks moving objects with her head and eyes. We would still probably trade some of that progress for a little more sleep at night. She still eats about every three hours, and is not always a silent sleeper (a lot of grunting and other noises). So sleeping for the parents is still not as great as we would like. So we take turns sleeping with her or trying to get away from her in the other room. The one drawback with that is that the other room is right next to Corin's room and many nights he cries out in the middle of the night. So some nights you just have to pick your poison.
Night time aside, Corin is an extremely happy boy and has a lot of fun with almost anything he does. He loves to get into anywhere that is not locked down, and then pull out whatever he can get his hands on. He loves pushing things around (his mower, the walking-popper thing, chairs, stools, this car, his sister's chair, etc). He has recently learned High-Five and how to give a kiss. Both of these are fun and very sweet. Whenever he does either of them (or anything else which he feels is an accomplishment) he immediately claps his hands and cheers, and expects you to do the same.
We recently took a family vacation to Lake Michigan with Pop, Lola, Grandma, Aunt Faye and Dmitri. We had a lot of run playing in the sand and the water. One highlight was getting to go to the zoo and feed the goats. As the video shows, Corin had a great time with that.
